Cookie Policy
Last Updated: February 17, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience. Tahoe Timing uses minimal cookies and browser storage.
2. Cookies We Use
Tahoe Timing uses the following browser storage:
- Session Storage (Weather Cache): Temporarily stores weather data for 30 minutes to reduce API calls and improve page load speed. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not track your browsing behavior across other websites.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Our website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set cookies for:
- Security and DDoS protection
- Performance optimization (CDN caching)
If you submit the signup form, Cloudflare Turnstile (bot verification) may set temporary cookies. These are only used if Turnstile is enabled and are required for spam prevention.
For details on Cloudflare's cookie usage, see their Privacy Policy.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies may affect website functionality. Our weather cache (session storage) is not a cookie and cannot be disabled without disabling JavaScript entirely.
5. Do Not Track
We do not track users across websites. We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals because we do not track in the first place.
6. Policy Changes
We may update this cookie policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
7. Contact
For questions about cookies or data storage, contact us via the form on our website at tahoetiming.app.
